Truly live and learn what it means to love Me

this statement [..to truly live and learn what it means to love Me (God)] has been hovering in my head for the past weeks and I believe that God wants me to understand the essence of the statement means.

Zane and Eric has heard the gospel! Thank God! and they are interested to know more

Our first cell outside of church took place today at Bryson's house! Thank God for those who came and those who did not! It is so encouraging for me when I see members coming for cell!

Harry Potter [The Order of the Phoenix] is definitely IN MY OPINION not worth the money! come one man! where are the effects? where are the dragons? where's the magic? haiz~ quite disappointed in the movie.

Yeah! managed to arrange with Kwong Chuin and Wai Kin to study together at Bukit Gombak Mac! let's work together for the glory of God

I'm soo tired.. but I am going to persevere! God! refresh me! thanks! Amen..

Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain

it has been quite a week of surprises!
Surprise #1: WaiKin left his I/C at the pool centre! and none of us realized he did not collect it back
Surprise #2:Realized the exams are so close only when they were right under my nose
Surprise #3:Became Program Coordinator for evangelistic event without realizing it
Surprise #4:Publicity for evangelistic event is down to only one week
Surprise #5:So many surprises!

Indeed as the song goes.. Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain.. the important question is that are we doing what God wants us to do? if not, we will be laboring in vain! my exams are in 2 days time and I'm not adequately prepared for it. However, I'm really gonna dedicate my Mid-Years to the Lord! I pray that I will adopt a study attitude that glorifies God and even if i do not do well in my exams, may I be able to do well for God's test! Amen!

Too much Wisdom!

WAh~ my brains are frying! not from studying..but from the Word of God! was reading up the book of Proverbs and had a lot of catching up to do since I skipped many many days for bible reading liao.. King Solomon is really amazingly and powerfully blessed with the gift of Wisdom! and it's really burning up my brains just to read and understand it! (well..actually i don't understand it fully yet) I guess one of the learning points was that Wisdom is more precious than jewels and is essential that we are hungry for Wisdom as it leads to fear of the Lord. [Proverbs 2:1-5]

Mid-years will be coming up in 6 days! less than a week! and I haven conquered much at all.. Prayer Warriors out there! You'll be working overtime this week praying for me! (=p) Good thing is, I believe that God will see me through the exams. Even if I fail in my exams, may I be able to pass in the Lord's test! (Amen!)

Had a cell movie outing today at Jurong Entertainment Centre. Oh man! It was a real terrible location to have a movie because there is practically nothing left to do after watching the movie! In the end, we all went home since we were wrecking our little minds just trying to reach a consensus on where to go after the movie. well.. Nigel wanted to pay my house a visit though. hope you had fun in my house today Nigel!

Been quite a long while since I've done this..

Farewell..

Commander Julian and his newly wedded wife Mabel will be moving to Melbourne, Australia in 2 days time! today the Royal Ranger commanders held a steamboat session at G1 for them! Wasted sia.. we (me, my sis and mum) came late and missed a BIG portion of the steamboat session. Only managed to see each other for about half an hour then they had to leave liao. However, they will be back in 2 years time. Hopefully and more important Prayerfully, they will come back with one or more babies after 2 years! WooHoo~ can't wait to see them move up into parenthood. Really wanna take this time to thank Commander Julian for his commitment to Royal Rangers for the past few years. Thanks A Lot man! God has indeed used you to impact many of our Rangers. Maybe it may not be obvious now, but I believe that whatever you have done, it is of eternal value to the building of God's Kingdom! you have left a milestone in G1 Royal Ranger Ministry. Really pray that you will have a great time in Australia. I can see that God is going to stretch your faith. Indeed wherever God places us, therein is our ministry. It is not by chance or coincidence that you are moving to Australia but by God's divine appointment that he is going to place you in a ministry where you can grow in the Lord!

Dear God,I pray that Commander Julian and his wife will grow to be more sensitive to Your voice. To seek Your direction in every decision and to include You in every equation and calculation. May your favor surround them like a shield that whoever comes in contact with them will sense Your awesome presence around them. Let Your presence go before them and conquer the land even before they step foot on Australia. I pray that You will stretch their faith like a rubberband and grant them open doors to available ministries that they are able to commit themselves to in Australia. Work through them and use them as Your tools to build and edify the Kingdom of God. Let them not be discouraged by problems that may arise as we as Christians are called to be joyful in trials that we may face. (James 1:2-4). Let them not grow weary in serving You and doing Your works and teach them to draw strength and stamina from You. I thank You that You will be their God in every part of the world. In Jesus' most victorious name I pray, Amen!

A passage that God has impressed upon my heart for you guyz. 1Corinthians 12:12-31. Indeed, even as different parts of the Body of Christ, we are A UNIT in God. Time and Place does not matter but our purposes in Christ are intertwined together. Let's Rock the world for Jesus!

Divinity in Dirt

WooHoo~ I'm finally back from Grace Retreat 2007! really enjoyed myself there until fell sick.. now still have some side effects of pretty bad cough and throat pain. However, I am going to believe that healing will come from God! This retreat has indeed been a milestone for me in my spiritual journey with God. 3 more important lessons that I have learnt :
1. Divinity in Dirt (the divine Holy Spirit is in our dirt body), with divinity in us, we are able to have equity exchange of knowledge with God. It is so amazing that God is so willing to place in us such divinity.
2.God speaks to us 24/7! Are we listening? We need to learn to block out all distractions around us and tune ourselves to God in everything
3.Prophetic Encouragement;
Love(motive)+Encouragement(purpose)+Scriptural(content) = Bull's eye

Testimony:
It was the 3rd morning(6th June) and I was attending devotion (on devotion) when I recieved a Word of comfort from God. The scripture that we were supposed to focus on that morning was Luke 10:38-42(NLT).
38
As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.
39
Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught.
40But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.”
41But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details!
42
There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”
I was then brought to the attention of the words (in bold) and then the worries of my studies floated into my mind. I was reminded that I has purposely brought my Geography,Physics and GP materials to Retreat thinking that I would squeeze out time to study them during the Retreat. I began to reflect on what I have done and God seemed to speak to me that I did not have to worry about my studies. Just as Martha thought that the Big dinner was something that was of higher priority than God and His teachings, so I have also placed my studies over God. I was encouraged by that Word. On the same day for the combined morning service, Reverend Sam Farina (Cool Pastor man!) was speaking on how we can prophetically encourage someone by listening to the voice of God on who He wanted us to encourage. I began to seek the Lord for direction and Serene Tan's name dropped into my heart. At that point of time, she was falling ill due to an unusual occurrence of rashes on her body. I began to ask God for a verse that I could encourage her and the verse about we being healed by His stripes came to my mind. I moved forward on Reverend Sam's instruction and went up to approach Serene. After sharing with her what the Lord has placed in my heart. She told me that indeed it was a confirmation for her as God had told her earlier that she will be healed in His timing. I was excited that God had actually used me as a tool for encouragement. As I went back to my seat, Nigel asked me how to listen to God voice and my sister, sitting beside him, explained to him how he could do it. I was half listening to what he was enquiring as I was just mesmerized by the amazing Prophetic Word the Lord had given me. Soon after, Nigel passed me a note saying that he had a prophetic encouragement for me. When I looked at the note, I was so amazed! Because it said, (quoted)"Not to worry about your exams" and the reference was Psalm 16:11. It was a confirmation for what the Lord had impressed upon my heart during the devotion earlier on. Nigel was still frantically asking me whether it was alright. Wow! Indeed God has been so gracious to remind me that my little details( studies) pale in comparison to God and His Word. Thank God! Amen!

I will be facilitating the camp with a few others and we are looking forward to a camp that will IMPACT them! Sadly, it is not a christian camp, However! we can still demonstrate our christian lifestyles with them. May we reflect God in this camp! =]

okay! i'm gonna end here for today. And just wanna make a statement to commit myself to for this holiday:
I, Lim Kun Jie pledge to study with the time that God has given me during this holidays. Concurrently, to faithful devote myself to reading the bible daily in view of completing it in December 2007. To give my best in my studies and to be a model in my cell. To grow in devotion and worship to God before and after Retreat. And to rejoice in everything I do! Amen

Clarke Quay Boat Quay
Tired!! Labour Day is such a tiring day.. went to Clarke Quay with 5 other secondary school mates to stay out for the night yesterday.. reached home at about 7am today and slept until 3pm in the afternoon! Well...it was a good experience to see the nightlife in Singapore(though not a lot) First we went to Hooters to eat chicken wings! 99Cents each leh! and the female waitresses were ALL in HOTPANTS..(*.*) after that we walked and walked and walked from Boat Quay to Clarke Quay and back to Boat Quay. We finally stopped by at The Clinic at about 3am (Thank God there was a sofa) very interesting place which sold drinks in syringes and blood bags and etc. Even the waiters wore surgeon's attires. Following that, we headed down to Boat Quay and waited at Central Shopping Centre until the MRT opened.

Wow! so encouraging! Really glad that the J1s are still coming for CCA, unlike during the 1st three months (number of players could be counted with my fingers).. a pat on the shoulder for the J2s [Choun Eng, Li Ching, Chin Siang] who are going to help me handle the CCA when I'm gone with Team JJ for tournament next week! *vomit*

So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. Revelation 3:16 [NIV]

just when i am trying to gulp down my dinner, a surge of nauseousness comes over me. and this verse surfaces out in my mind. have we been lukewarm? to such an extent that we want to vomit whatever it is that we just put into our mouths? Does God want to vomit you out of His mouth?
another translation of the bible gives a clearer picture:

I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You're not cold, you're not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You're stale. You're stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, 'I'm rich, I've got it made, I need nothing from anyone,' oblivious that in fact you're a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless. Revelation 3:15-17 [The Message]

Badminton
there is now three names submitted for the naming competition in Badminton Recreational Club!

Foolz

WooHoo~ we juz celebrated Bryson's birthday last week! Nigel and Isaac who were Birthday I/Cs were in charge! finally they are doing some work after such a long time of stagnant work. The birthday surprise plan: "accidentally" spill disappearing ink on him and ask him go wash up. After he comes back, Happy Birthday! haha! Joel did a good job in "accidentally" spilling on him. But sadly, Bryson didn't get it when he came back into the room that it was a birthday surprise! haha! the *blurred* look on his face. Thank God! so amazing that our cell is growing! However, Eddie! Our beloved Cell Mentor may be leaving us in time to come. ="[ Eddie!! U have been such a great mentor! Foolz will not be the same without u!

Encuoragements:
Eddie:Eddie! even if you were to leave Foolz, we are all one body in Christ and we are working towards the same goal heavenward!
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. [1 Corinthians 12:4-7]

Public speaking

wah~ been quite busy lately, so did not find any time to post anything up! today i went for a Public Speaking Competition! i was excited to public speak. However, because i brought up my script, i was not able to make it through the preliminary rounds. Many of us also did not see the fine print and brought up their script which in the end became a "reading" session rather than a public speaking competition! Nevertheless, i did learn a great deal about public speaking.
1.Public speaking is not about reading from a script, it's about engaging the audience
2.A good speaker is one that is aware of his AND the audiences' presence
3.A good speaker need not have a flare in language but must be able to speak his mind

haha~i was a great experience indeed! Congratulations to the 3 winners of today's competition!

Badminton Recreation!
right now, i have only 2 names that have been submitted to me.

wright OR rong? & SPA & Money Matters

Wow! Kwong Chuin has agreed to go for Grace Retreat this year! Thank God! becoz i'm very sure that this will be a Retreat that he will not forget! However, he is still a little uncertain whether he has made the wright(right) or rong(wrong) decision.
Theme for Grace Retreat 2007: Fellowship
KOINONIA..TOUCHING HIM,BONDING US!

Yeah! today marks the end of Chemistry Skill D SPA! left one more SPA which is Skill A coming up on Term2Week10! Thank God it's over! Memorizing..Standardisation of NaOH..calculated solubility and solubility product is unreliable and inaccurate..shake intermittenly for at least 10 mins, Can be a chore! haha!

Testimony!
Yes! I have another testimony that i would like to share! It happened last week. For one reason or another, I was losing money faster than i could put it in my pocket! (have I grown fatter?) somemore! on Sunday [8April], we had a cell outing to catch a movie! (pocket hole flares up!) $9.50 was a thorn in my heart! haiz~ but i told myself, since it was a cell outing, i'll give in this time! by the next week, i was going to have to starve for a few days. HOWEVER! by the Grace and Providence of God! He blessed me financially! GREATLY! i recieved an e-mail juz recently stating that $45 has been deposited into my bank account becoz my school trip last year overlooked some subsidies. Next, i received news from my secondary school friend about $35 been given to us each because we had participated in a competition 2 years ago and the money won was not distributed yet. He came DIRECTLY to my house to deliver the money to me!! IN ADDITION! becoz my Dad juz came back from Overseas(my Dad works overseas), my Mum and Dad wanted to have a little holiday, so my Mum gave me my following week's allowance beforehand. [$50 to be exact] AMEN!! God indeed knows what we lack and He is indeed our PROVIDER! WooHoo~ God Reigns!
Note:Do Not ask me to treat anyone! wahaha~ more money doesn't equate to more disposable cash. However, if u treat me nice..I may consider!! (hehe~)

Encouragements:
Kwong Chuin:Don't worry man! You are making the right choice to put God first!
[Then he said to them all: "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. Luke 9:23]
Eddie:WooHoo~ Foolz would not be the same without you! Great to see that you are growing in your relationship with God! When in a dilemna, seek on the Wisdom of God!
[If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5]

Good Friday or Bad Friday?

Good Friday-a good day or bad day? Wah! i almost almost overslept this morning sia! i woke up at 9:40am!! and Good FridayService was commencing at 10am at G2 Sanctuary! THANK GOD! I lived only a few blocks away from G2! Managed to reach there in time and missed a little of the pre-service prayer. SO! as a was saying, Good Friday-a good day or bad day? i think that Pastor David preached an amazing sermon today! WE HAVE REASON TO REJOICE!

Pastor David(not exactly what he said):He(Jesus) went through everything, so that He can say, "I know what you have been through."..God wasn't defeated, He was VICTORIOUS!

so simple yet so amazing~but have we been contented with something lesser? have we chosen Barabbas[meaning:son of my father] over Jesus?[Son of God] Reference:Matthew 27:15-26

and now,(drumroll)Let's usher in the commencement of Easter Power Praise tomorrow! people out there, if u don't know what i'm talking about, it means that U are eligible to come for Easter Power Praise on 7 April at G2 Sanctuary at 5pm-7pm!

Link:Leaving Ninety-Nine (Audio Adrenaline) [Check it this great song! the lyrics are amazing!]

Nigel!

Nigel:It always rains on every Good Friday at 3pm
KunJie:really?
at 3pm today, the sky was grey and heavy

Before i go, wanna encourage some friends!
Rafidah:Believing in God is a personal decision which involves only you and God
Zane and Eric:WooHoo~ great to see u guyz coming to church! Are you looking for God in your life? then He will be found by you!
You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Rafael: God is willing to leave that flock of 99 sheep just to hold u back into His loving arms.
Sharon: [God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4]. Though I may not be able to comfort you, but the Lord has more than what is needed to comfort you.

An answered Prayer by a Faithful God

I have a testimony to share! it all started when i was at R-age Berry Jam last friday. The main topic for prayer was on evangelism and especially in view of the evangelistic activities that were round the corner like Whodunit, XRoad47 evangelistic activity and Easter Power Praise. I was praying for my classmate who i wanted to bring for Easter Power Praise with Pastor Ronald! and guess what! when i messaged him the next day asking him whether he would want to go for Easter Power Praise, he agreed! WOW! Amen! i was shocked when i recieved his reply and was so glad that God was all along working behind the scenes! [he usually doesn't want to come to my church because he feels that he is lonely there as no one else accompanies him and now he said yes to going alone with me] Christian brothers and sisters out there..(especially from R-age) keep Easter Power Praise in your prayers everyday and also friends that will be coming! (including mine)

..Jesus said to them, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners." Mark 2:17 (NIV)

Foolz!

Wow! one of the busiest cell weeks in the history of Foolz! we had 4 new comers to our cell!
1.Matthias Lim (Rachel Lim's cousin) got to know him a few weeks ago at service
2.Zane
3.Eric (Zane and Eric are Noella's friends under the care of EnEn)
4.MeiYin (my sister who wld be replacing Eddie IF he is going out of Foolz)

Although we were late for cell (40 minutes late!!) we still managed to have a great time together! our structured activity was great! the new comers (especially Eric and Matthias) were contributing ideas and opening up! amazingly, by God's Grace, we managed to end cell relatively early (considering that we started the activity late).

Sadly, Zane and Eric did not join us for youth service today. At first me and Eddie planned to meet up with them after service to go out for lunch together, but in the end they could not make it too.. ="[

Now for the hilarious happenings,
